Junior Interior Designer
Studio Partnership, an NEWH “2020 TopID” firm, is seeking an inspired and motivated Junior Interior Designer with an interest and/or experience in hospitality design. Currently on the boards with our hospitality/commercial teams are hotel, F&B, retail, multi-family/mixed use, country club and corporate office projects. Responsibilities:
- Assist design teams and senior staff in all aspects of ID project functions
- Prepare content (drawings and documentation) for schematic design, design development and construction document phases
- Prepare construction documents, consisting of plans, elevations, details, and specifications to illustrate non-structural partition layouts, power and communication locations, reflected ceiling plans and lighting designs, materials and finishes and furniture layouts
- Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment and millwork, including layout drawings and detailed product descriptions
- Generate contract documentation to facilitate pricing, procurement and installation of furniture
- Prepare specifications and schedules with accurate project information for all furniture, plumbing, appliances, lighting and finishes
- Field measure and document building conditions; prepare punch list reporting
- Maintain quality control
Qualifications:
- BFA or BS in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA-accredited Program.
- New graduate or work experience at a professional interior/architectural design firm
- Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and schedules
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (required)
- Understanding or proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (In-Design, Photoshop or Illustrator
- Proficiency in Office (Excel mandatory)
