Vanguard Resources, Inc. (VRI), an Industry-Leading Facilities Management Company, in business over 27 years, is actively recruiting for a Junior Healthcare Construction Project Manager, to utilize their education, knowledge and expertise to support healthcare building initiatives. This opportunity is located at Vanguard Resources’ Client’s site, Nacogdoches Medical Center, 4920 NE Stallings Dr, Nacogdoches, TX 75965. (161 patient-beds, acute care hospital, 195k sq ft.)
As a Junior Healthcare Construction Project Manager, working closely with the Director, Facilities Management, one will (summary of responsibilities, but not limited to):
- Oversee multiple projects at once, while serving as the representative with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, other staff, and government inspectors
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state procedures, regulations, and codes, and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis
- Manage and oversee work sites for both new construction and remodel projects, coordinating site activities and assuring that all disciplines directly involved in the project are in phase with the project goals and objectives
- Provide direction to general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors when doing groundwork, ensuring quality standards are met
- Interact with engineers, architects, and others working on the project
- Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues
- Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements
- Complete all other assigned duties/projects
RequiredQualifications/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Possess a Current/Valid Driver’s License with clear driving record
- Ability to multitask while staying well-organized
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in all forums and at all levels
- 1+ years’ experience in project management; OR, recent completion of Construction Project Management program/degree
- Knowledge of construction industry standards, codes and regulations
- Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts, Ability to read and comprehend contracts, drawings, schematics and submittals.
- Knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling methods
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on quality
- Knowledge of Jobsite safety practices required
Preferred:
- Background in construction, facility management, MEP, engineering, etc. preferred
- Exposure to project management software and tools
- Current or previous experience working with a General Contractor
- Experience with New Healthcare Construction for Hospital, Medical Clinic, MOB, ER, etc preferred but not required.
- Experience running commercial projects from start to finish
- Strong software and technology skills
- Time Management & Proven Experience with Scheduling Projects
- Experience managing teams is a plus
