Principal Enterprise Architect:

Note: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our NYC office.

We are looking for an experienced and hands on Principal Enterprise Architect to work in our New York City office full-time and in person. The Enterprise Architect will play a key role in our technical platform architecture by defining, designing and implementing a modern, flexible and scalable platform that enables the creation of scalable applications and reduces the time market for business functionality in our global operations. The architect is responsible for all technical architecture and design decisions and technology selection for the global organization.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to understand company’s short and long term business requirements and define sound technical architectures and create effective technical designs to support the requirements.
• Ensure that the technology decisions are aligned with the company’s vision and roadmap.
• Lead technology evaluations, the adoption of selected technology components, creation of technology standards and reusable components for the organization.
• Collaborate with the rest of the technology team of architects and developers to deliver high quality applications.
• Design robust and scalable technology solutions for complex enterprise problems utilizing modern tools and technologies.
• Provide technical expertise and leadership to overcome architectural challenges and provide hands on guidance in the implementation of sound and efficient technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, utilizing established architectural principles and emerging technologies such AI/ML concepts.
• Identify potential risks and issues related to all technology implementations, scalability and security of applications and develop and implement mitigations to ensure successful resolutions.
• Drive effective problem-solving and decision-making processes, ensuring technical roadblocks are addressed promptly.
• Document, present and communicate architectural and design artifacts to the engineering team and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure best practices in application design and security are being followed.
• Evaluate implemented systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency, and identify areas of improvement in current systems for remediation.
• Coordinate with other team members to reach project milestones.
• Mentor junior members of the team.

Requirements and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10 or more years of experience in architecting enterprise level applications and eCommerce systems which serves high volume global customer and B2B flows.
• Strong and hands on system and application architecture and design skills to develop modular, web based and mobile applications utilizing APIs and micro services.
• Experience working with SQL and non-SQL databases.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience in leading and inspiring cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and practices.
• Certification in technology architecture such as TOGAF or similar is preferred.
• Experience with data architecture, data governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to deliver effective architectural solutions.
• Strong experience with cloud technologies (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) and architectures that utilize them effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Dedicated and hardworking leader who achieves maximum efficiency and productivity working with the rest of the team.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.

Compensation: $195K - $275K annual salary + bonus
