Summary
Burrow is looking for a Junior Designer to join our in-house Creative Team, which is responsible for bringing the Burrow brand to life across every aspect of the business. This designer will collaborate with the rest of the team on the execution of design concepts for a wide variety of projects with the highest attention to detail. You’ll create digital marketing communications including emails, ads for paid social channels, graphics for our website, social assets. Additionally, you’ll be asked to work on print projects such as assembly instructions, packaging graphics, catalogs, direct mail, retail posters, and more. In short, we want a designer with a broad range of skills who is ready to make an immediate contribution to the team and the Burrow brand.
The ideal candidate is a flexible, craft-driven, appreciates great brand design, and is able to work and collaborate across multiple teams and projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and prep files for release to our email marketing and web platforms; this includes marketing and transactional emails, performance marketing assets for platforms like Facebook and Instagram, graphics and icons, and seasonal marketing projects.
- Lead the creation of sale treatments (branded lock-ups) that stay true to the brand, while generating excitement, attention, and differentiation in a crowded media environment.
- Put layout skills and craft to work creating print projects like retail signage, catalogs and mailers, assembly instructions, and more.
- Help guide photo retouching and color correction.
- Contribute to and maintain a growing brand design system to improve the quality of the visual brand, add versatility to the system, and make work for the entire team more efficient.
- Work with the wider Creative Team as well as the wider company to develop processes that promote quality and manage workloads effectively, recommending more efficient, time saving methods when applicable.
- Uplift your fellow designers by solving problems proactively, troubleshooting issues, and teaching each other new skills and techniques.
- Assist in constructing presentations to the rest of the company and external partners.
- Do your part in keeping our digital asset management system organized, so visual content is easy to find, and keep your own work organized in Dropbox so it’s searchable and viewable by the rest of the team. Maintain focus and an even keel in a fast-paced environment where changes need to be implemented quickly and often.
Requirements
- 2–4 years experience working at a design-centric brand or agency.
- Expert knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud; Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop are requirements.
- Ability to execute print projects that meet strict printer and USPS specifications, working fluently in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
- Familiarity with video editing or motion tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects is a bonus.
- Highly organized and able to tackle multiple projects at once while managing workload.
- Thoughtful with great attention to detail and a love for organization.
- A keen eye for detail and consistency.
- A portfolio that demonstrates all of the above.

Pay range: $60K - $65K
The offered pay range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
