Fast paced Junior Apparel Company is actively seeking a SWEATER TECHNICAL DESIGNER to join our team under Design department.
We are looking for an energetic & organized SWEATER TECHNICAL DESIGNER for immediate hire.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating initial technical packages based on samples and photos, including taking mannequin pictures of the original sample & proto sample for T/Ps
- Knowledge & understanding of the nature of spec, yarns, gauge, stitch, and the weight of the sweater category.
- Experience fitting Junior sizes ranges, Missy & Kids experience plus.
- Maintain and update a proto and on-order library of bodies and technical packages.
- Participate in fit session, work with designer & production to achieve aesthetic, communicate fit & balance corrections to participants.
- Attend and participate during sales meetings when discussing fits of proto samples.
- Creating grading rules for production items & create proto-tech packs as needed.
- Help update costing tech packs and recaps with correct detailed information, including gauges, stitch, and weights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment.
- Work closely with the Sr. Design team, Technical, Art & Production team
- Ability to manage deadlines and changing priorities, be able to follow the lead, and Team player.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, proactive, organized, detailed & Strong team player.
- Garment sketch in Illustrator experience, plus.
Requirement:
- 2 year of experience required.
- A bachelor’s degree in any of the following majors is a plus: textile/Pattern maker.
- Computer proficient – Microsoft Office (Works, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
Salary**: 60K ~75K **the salary may vary based on individual experience and expertise.
