Audubon is currently seeking a JuniorCost Analystto be part of a project team working onsite at a client's plant in Channelview, TX. The JuniorCost Analystwill work with Project Managers to track and forecast all aspects of capital project cost reports.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Areas of Responsibility will include:
- Reviewing contractor estimates and change orders for completeness and agreement with the project's physical scope and schedule progress. Knowledge of project schedule functionality, interpretation of reports, and key terminology to support project forecasting.
- Preparing or reviewing the Project Controls Plan in the Project Execution Plan (PEP) to ensure alignment with scope and contracting strategy.
- Creating/modifying SAP purchase requisitions based on appropriate Procurement Strategy and alignment with TIC Estimate accounts.
- Assisting with creation of POs by entering purchase requisitions into SAP, while working with Procurement for full understanding of PO commercial terms.
- Exporting WBS, PO and actuals information from SAP to populate cost tracking templates.
- Processing and tracking contractor invoices.
- Working with Finance and Projects team to process monthly journal entry requests for project transfers and to allocate internal and seconded personnel costs to the appropriate projects.
- Working with Project Manager to forecast future project costs and feed cost forecast information into monthly project cost forecasts for management, while maintaining annual and TIC budgets.
- Developing cost curves and inputs needed for management funding requests and recurring project update meetings.
- Attending project meetings to stay up to date on project progress and upcoming work.
- Responsible for ensuring that all Project Controls deliverables are completed, and deadlines met.
- During turnarounds, reconcile labor and equipment daily and cost weekly with contractors.
- Additional duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position:
- 3+ years of Cost Analyst experience, preferably in relation to petrochemical or refining industry projects.
- Proficient with Excel.
- Experience working in SAP.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Strong attention to detail with proven capabilities in handling multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and within a group setting.
- Power BI dashboard development or programming experience is a plus.
