The Lead Cost Analyst works under the direction of the department manager/supervisor and provides cost control support for Field Engineering projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with processing invoices, requisitions and extracting payment information from cost tracking system.
- Assist with project related cost transfers and cost reallocations.
- Assist with resolution of invoice payment issues.
- Assist project managers with in-service Fixed Asset creation process.
- Work with project managers on special projects concerning project controls, and/or project management functions.
- Assist with the collection of monthly/quarterly accruals.
- Serve as "back-ups" for other cost analysts on various and miscellaneous duties within the group.
- Take a lead role in ad-hoc reporting to assist with group goals.
- Duties not specific on this document that might arise due to ever changing project-related work requirements.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Up to 7 years of industry experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
- Proven ability to work and communicate effectively with project managers, management, and persons outside our group that are in need of assistance, with little to no supervision.
- Organizational skills to plan and manage work responsibilities for multiple projects in order to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with project related work, invoicing, accounts payable, and procurement processes is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle or similar cost tracking systems is preferred.
