The Finance Data & Analytics team is searching for a new team member to support the management of financial datasets and reporting.

As a Junior Business Systems Analyst, you'll be responsible for analyzing and creating systems and applications to support business functions and operations.

What You'll Do:

• Gather business requirements and develop process mapping documentation
• Assist in the design of well architected, scalable solutions focused on the key business requirements while keeping performance, usability, reportability, and maintainability in mind
• Aid in the delivery of strategic projects for our leadership that provide key business insights for high-priority initiatives
• Field ad-hoc analytical requests on an as needed basis for internal teams
• Establish strong relationships within Finance, IT, and other key business partners
• Assist in the resolution of production issues with an eye for future process and system improvements
• Participate in the review of internal controls and procedures
• Create test plans and ensure delivered results align to requirements while adhering to project schedules and deadlines
• Ability to understand new data structures by reviewing existing logic and code

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in finance, business, accounting, IT, mathematics or relevant field of study preferred
• 0-2+ years in a technical role supporting accounting or transactional processing and reporting preferred
• Exposure to SQL – This is a crucial skill for this role
• Power-User Excel skills – Excel is going to be your 2nd best friend, right after SQL
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
• Effective written and verbal communication skills – this position will require you to be able to articulate technical issues to non-technical users
• Excellent documentation skills
• Comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities

Preferred Skills:

• Experience to data visualization tools (Tableau, SSRS, Power BI, etc…)
• Experience with an Agency Management System, specifically Applied Systems EPIC
• Insurance industry knowledge
• Experience with technical documentation
• Knowledge of Business Analysis principles

More About Us:

Compensation: Anticipated salary between $62,964.00 - $104,940.00. Salary offered will be dependent upon geography, experience, and expertise of the candidate.

This position is eligible to participate in an incentive program to earn additional compensation with a target equivalent to 8% of salary annually, based on individual and Company performance.
