The Junior Accounting Analyst is responsible to assist with correcting current USA/CAD Item Standards in NAV. Review freight in GL account, and upon review of the data, audit invoices through accounts payable software for possible adjustments in NAV. This role is essential to the ongoing integrity of proper internal controls and procedures being followed, in compliance with corporate policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist Accountant with account analysis (specific accounts will be assigned that will be handled weekly.)
- Update quarterly forecasting files.
- Review PPV (Purchase Price Variances) for further disposition.
- Investigate issues, ask, and offer help when needed.
- Professional interactions within and outside the company - via phone, Teams or e-mail.
- Compile information and prepare ad-hoc account analyses.
- Assist with special projects as required.
- Inventory testing to validate IT changes in NAV.
- Preparing and analyzing month-end presentation slides.
- Attend monthly Ops meetings and month-end review meetings.
- Perform journal entries for both USA and Canada.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Accounting Degree or equivalent
- 2-year minimum experience in similar role
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint.
