We are seeking a Jr. Procurement Specialist with 2+ years of quantity surveying experience. The primary duties will include assisting with the procurement process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, services, and equipment. They will play a role in negotiating and drafting contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with project requirements. Their responsibilities will include assist with purchasing activities, analyzing costs, and conducting market research to optimize procurement decisions. Additionally, they focus on compliance with relevant regulations and risk management, working to mitigate potential issues and contribute to the successful execution of the project.
Compensation: $58,000 - $90,000 *anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity. The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting. There will also be a per diem and overtime available for this role.

We are seeking a Jr. Procurement Specialist to join our industrial construction project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the procurement process, including contract negotiation, vendor selection, and purchasing of materials and services. The Procurement Specialist will play a role in ensuring cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and quality compliance in alignment with project goals and industry standards. You will attend meetings and participate in client field visits as needed within Washington.
Responsibilities:
1. Contract Negotiation:
• Negotiate and draft contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the project.
• Collaborate with legal and project teams to review and finalize contract documents.
2. Vendor Management:
• Identify, assess, and select vendors based on project requirements, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
3. Purchasing:
• Assist with overseeing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project specifications and timelines.
• Evaluate and analyze supplier bids, issue purchase orders, and track deliveries.
4. Cost Analysis:
• Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Work closely with Quantity Surveyors and project teams to ensure budget compliance.
5. Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Identify and manage procurement-related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
6. Market Research:
• Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry developments to make informed procurement decisions.
• Continuously assess and update the supplier base to enhance competitiveness.
Job Requirements:
- Some knowledge of procurement processes, contract law, and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with equipment purchasing.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of Coupa Procurement Software.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist in industrial construction projects.

- Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
- Job duties will generally be performed at a Client’s office, client site, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Day to day job direction will typically be lead by our Clients designated project leader.
- Conditions and/or schedule will vary at each Client location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
- Candidates will be required to follow our clients' site based rules and protocols regarding infectious diseases.
