Williams Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Jr. Business Analyst to support the application submission process for a new healthcare Model for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain experience in coordinating, analyzing and improving the application submission process.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a foundational understanding of the CMS CMMI Model, its components, and its impact on the application submission process.
- Assist with the creation of application submission workflows and identify areas for enhancements.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve the application submission processes including data collection, validation and quality control.
- Use the Salesforce Review and Scoring Module for tracking and processing applications.
- Assist with applicant outreach and identify areas where outreach efforts could help improve application submission rates.
- Work alongside the Sr. Business analyst to assist with creating and managing tools (e.g., emails, dashboards, tracking documents) to enhance the effectiveness of program operations e.g., Excel document for analysis, action item tracking, SOPs, timelines, strategic planning, PMO dashboard in Excel, etc.
- Assist with identifying interdependencies, sequencing, milestones, risks/issues, and performance measures.
- Addresses risks and implement contingency plans to resolve issues impacting the project.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- A./B.S. degree in business administration, or related field
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Business Analyst role with enthusiasm for learning and gaining experience in business analysis within a healthcare environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality service.
- Eagerness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and efficient time management.
- Interest in healthcare industry standards, regulations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project) and Adobe.
- Must demonstrate professionalism and a positive work ethic in all situations.
- Ability to respond effectively to changing events and competing priorities.
- Background investigation required.
