IWS is currently hiring a Foreman/Journeyman Welder to join our team. We are looking for someone who values safety, works well in a team, and pays close attention to detail with excellent quality control skills. The ideal candidate should be proficient in all welding processes, particularly structural steel, and have a good knowledge of material suppliers. Punctuality and good attendance are essential for this role. Must possess a positive attitude towards work and be capable of providing solutions as a team leader with minimal supervision.

IWS works in a wide range of welding categories, including architectural, commercial, and Industrial fabrication. This is a full-time position eligible for benefits after a 90-day introductory period.
As a field and shop lead Welder, you must possess A.W.S certification and be able to manufacture and erect metal components and structures. Have knowledge of welding equipment, hand tools, and measuring tools, be responsible for producing and installing materials according to customer and/or employer specifications. Accurately interpret blueprints, diagrams, and sketches to determine necessary materials, operations, and timeframes for each project.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Perform work in accordance with best safety practices and daily reports.

· Physically able to lift, carry, and move up to 60lbs
- selects and uses appropriate material handling equipment when necessary.
· Able to stand for long hours at a time.
· Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate exceptional customer service abilities and good communication skills.
· Able to withstand a wide range of temperature and weather conditions, indoors and outside.
· Flexible to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
· Maintain a clean driving record.
· Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and workspace in safe operating condition.
· Accurately measures and marks materials for alterations.
· Setting up components for welding according to specifications.
· Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
· Cuts, shapes, and alters material as needed using the appropriate equipment or tool
· Joins metals by selecting the appropriate welding equipment, including TIG, MIG, Flux core, arc, and oxy-fuel welding – Selects appropriate machine settings and filler materials.
· Obtains or maintains appropriate AWS welding certifications.
· Checks finished work to make sure that it falls within given specifications.
· Completes and submits Daily Time Sheets.
· Submits Daily Pictures of projects
· Must have AWS 3g-4g welding certificate (fcaw 232)
