A carpenter at Tesla will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and tasks. A well-qualified applicant will have experience in many aspects of carpentry and will not hesitate to learn new aspects of carpentry. You will be asked to work alongside other trades to complete projects.
- Complete concrete formwork and finishing
- Steel stud framing, drywall and finishing
- Erect, modify, remove and inspect scaffolding
- Review plans and conduct field layout
- Blocking and backing
- Temporary partitions, stairs and handrails
- Produce parts lists and work plans based off drawings or field walks
- Complete job scopes outside of normal core competencies as required
- Lead the execution of small construction projects
- Operating scissor lifts, boom lifts and forklifts
- Minimum 5+ years verifiable experience as a Journeyman Carpenter
- Training as a competent or qualified scaffold erector
- The ability to read and understand drawings and specifications as well as to contribute to creating as-built drawings
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety with ability to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning with an emphasis on identifying hazards
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management; must have high degree of initiative, and the ability to work alone and effectively with other people
- Extensive knowledge in using hand and power tools
- The ability to think outside the box and find innovative solutions
Compensation and Benefits
Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:
$32.00 - $61.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
