Joint Exercise Planner

Overview:
Reed Charters LLC is actively recruiting for a Joint Exercise Planner to join our consultant team based in Honolulu, Hawaii. You will play a crucial role in providing technical support for all official exercise activities designed to rehearse plan-based tasks and train operational commanders and staffs.
Work Location
The Joint Exercise Planner will be located at our worksite in Honolulu, Hawaii. 
Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop recommendations regarding the design of Joint and Service exercises.
• Provide recommendations in the development of exercise scenarios that enable the terminal training objectives to be achieved in the most unencumbered format to maximize the training value of the event.
• Provide support with the development of the requirement to be loaded into approved systems of record for sourcing of the force package for each exercise. 
• Assist in the development of the announcements and tasking documents organizing the team in support of the framing of the exercise. Provide expertise in development of written documents as well as briefing presentations to command leadership to capture the desire end state and path to achieve it though the plan of action and milestones (POAM) developed for each exercise.
• Support the multiple operational planning teams (OPT) and integrated planning teams (IPT) required to work through the myriad issues in managing each exercise life cycle (ELC).
• Develop documents that capture the roles of agencies and offices at local, national, or international level to enhance the training opportunity for participating units.
• Draft and submit messages outlining requirements for each training event, to include objectives, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop scheduled training event recommendations and plans for execution.
• Develop and maintain a framework model to enable adaptation for unscheduled emerging mission requirements.
• Develop recommendations for learning delivery options (i.e., academics, training events, etc.).
• Provide technical assistance in the execution of joint and combined training exercise events, interoperability workshops, tabletop exercises, and senior leader seminars.

Qualifications and Experience We Require:

• Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.
• Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (i.e., SharePoint, MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., MSWord, Power Point, Excel, etc.).
• Advanced proficiency in written and verbal communication.
