Pay Range: $15.45 - $18.54/hr

Completion of Assignment Pay You can earn up to a $300 incentive pay, which is based on the amount of days worked while on assignment.

The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation and Neighborhood Services Departments are recruiting for seasonal positions to work with our 2024 Summer Day Camp, offering Camp Fort Worth and the Mobile Recreation Programs. We are looking for enthusiastic Camp Leaders who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while encouraging kids to stay safe, physically active and intellectually engaged while having fun. Camp Fort Worth and Mobile Recreation are Summer Day Camp programs located at 18 community centers and four schools throughout the City of Fort Worth.
Attendance is required at orientation, which is June 3 – 7.
2024 Camp Fort Worth Program operates June 10 through August 2 and is offered between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The Mobile Recreation Summer Day Camp Program operates from June 10 through July 26 and is offered between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be age 16 or older by May 1 and no experience required.
The Camp Leader job responsibilities include:
- Supervise children in the following summer day camp activities: recreation and educational programs, structured inside and outside activities and events, arts and crafts, games, youth sports and other recreational events.
- The qualified candidate must demonstrate knowledge of arts, crafts, games, and a variety of sports.
- Develop lesson plans, procedures and goals.
- Supervise activities in aquatic environments.
