Devereux Day Academy is a NEW private academic school program located in Audubon PA. Devereux Day Academy is licensed to serve students in grades K-8 who have been identified with the following primary disabilities: Intellectual Disability, Autism, Emotional Disturbance, Specific Learning Disability, and Speech or Language Impairment. The core curriculum has been aligned with the Pennsylvania Core Standards, as well as the curricula of our partner school districts. This alignment will facilitate smooth transitions to and from the program for your students. The goal of the curriculum is to provide students with learning experiences that foster increased engagement and success through differentiated instruction, evidence-based instructional strategies, and rigorous learning expectations
Payrate: $17.50 - $20.24 (based upon education and experience)
Shift: 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday
Everyday as a Job Coach you will:
- Directly supervise, train, and coach students within community-based employment training sites.
- Work with students to achieve a level of accomplishment and productivity that allows for greater employment independence.
- Act as a liaison between the employer/community based employment site and Devereux.
- Work with team to assess skills and level of functioning/participation
- Document progress and involvement of students
- Provide information and input based on level of participation, functioning and progress to goals

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in education, psychology, social work, or related field preferred. High school diploma required.
EXPERIENCE: Two years experience working with adolescents and young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders in a transition and employment setting preferred.
