Jan-Pro is the #1 Commercial Cleaning Franchise and #4 Fastest Growing Franchise as reported in 2018 Entrepreneur Magazine rankings. Jan-Pro of Northern Illinois is looking to hire a Franchise Business Consultant to join the team. This position is in our Burr Ridge, IL office.
POSITION SCOPE: In this Full Time Franchise Business Consultant role, you will manage a customer base and ensure each Jan-Pro customer is getting the highest quality commercial cleaning in the industry, while achieving 99% or higher Customer Retention monthly. This is accomplished through on-site inspections, prompt customer follow-up, and serving as a business coach, trainer, and mentor by assisting Jan-Pro Certified Business Owners in becoming successful business owners. 80% of your time will be in the field and 20% of your time in the regional office for administrative tasks. This individual will be responsible for a territory in the Chicagoland area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all business functions (except new account sales) in their respective business units
- Assists in preparation and delivery of the Initial Franchise Certification
- Maintain and foster relationship with current CBO’s
- Use of Jan-pro Brand Standards and Procedures to support CBO’s
- Meets with new cleaning client contacts and calls within 24 hrs of new contract to establish relationship
- Sets up new accounts and aid in the ‘new accounts’ process
- Performs initial ‘walk-through’ of new accounts with CBO
- Facilitates communication to resolve customer complaints
- Transfers customers between owners if requested and documents these requests and transfers
- Responsible for facilitating tools for CBO use to help in account attrition
- Perform Quality Audits, with the respective Certified Business owner on their accounts.
- Identify, price and present Special Service work opportunities for CBO’s
- Ensure proper documentation for Special Service work
- Informs all owners of transfers and assists in the transfer process through walk-throughsand information exchange
- Provides or assist the CBO in their business analysis
- Assists in preparing data for Quality Review
- Maintains and develops a network of Certified Business Owners and shares in the dissemination of ‘best practices’, particularly establishment of Emergency Back-up Crews
- Ultimately responsible for the efficient, successful, and professional function of specified business unit as disseminated by Regional Franchise Developer and Business Consultant
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skill
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required
- Customer service focus

- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams of people in organized structure
- Track record of success in management of large teams in competitive environment
- Project Management experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet operations
- Strong presentation skills
- Professional speaking voice and demeanor
- Ability to work extremely sensitive information and work in a confidential environment
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Current, active Driver’s License
- Ability to drive to regional accounts for quality checks and onsite account walk thrus
- Ability to function in high-pressure situations
- Operation of computer (desk-top and lap-top) and other electronic equipment
- Ability to take legible hand-written notes where necessary
- Correctable vision and hearing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Clear, easy to understand oral communication ability
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods
TO THE BEST QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WE OFFER:
- Base salary of $42,000-$50,000 per year, commensurate with experience and education plus performance bonuses. On target first year compensation of $47,000-$56,000.
