Metro Prep High School, Grade School and Laureate Day School have been educating and supporting students with special needs for over 25 years supported by FGC.
Using a multidisciplinary approach, Metro Prep and Laureate Day School provides educational and therapeutic learning opportunities in a small, nurturing environment. This allows our staff to tailor each student's program to meet his or her individual needs.
Our staff is comprised of state-certified special education teachers and state-licensed counselors. The Principal and Clinical Director oversee the administration of school operations and therapeutic programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the general cleanliness and maintenance of building, parking lot and common grounds around the facility.
- Clean bathrooms; sinks, toilets, baseboards, mirrors, floors, wipe down stalls and door handles, take out trash and empty personal hygiene containers
- Refill hand towels, toilet paper and soap dispensers
- Sweep and mop floors
- Vacuum rugs and carpets
- Vacuum computers, monitors, phones, vents, and window ledges (backpack vac)
- Refill bathroom air freshners
- Replace urinal cakes
- Take out garbage, condense and neatly place in dumpsters
- Wipe down mattresses and sanitize in sensory room
- Restock all supplies in staff kitchens/lounges
- After heavy rain storms, must check rooms and hallways in all buildings for leaks
- Clean all base boards
- Dust all mini blinds
- Replace light bulbs
- Wash walls if needed
- Clean all interior and exterior windows, doors and window sills (weather permitting)
- Clean all trash cans, buckets, and cleaning machines, as needed
- Remove snow and salt all walkways if needed
- Notify supervisor when supplies are getting low
- Inform supervisor of any maintenance problems
- Complete minor maintenance/repair jobs as needed
Schedule: Monday thru Friday 11:00 am to 7:00pm

Pay Rate: $41,600 - $43,281

Experience and Skills
Education and/or Experience: Four years maintenance experience. High School Diploma or GED required. Demonstrate mechanical skills. Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
