The P&C IT PMO team is looking for an intern to support the Mainframe Retirement and IT Training and Development programs. Both programs require database administration, project coordination, and business analysis work. The person who applies for this position should have strong oral and written communication skills; have strong problem-solving skills; have a high level of attention to detail; have planning and organizing skills and be able to meet deadlines. Responsibilities
- Database administration of MS Access databases
- Executes monthly Mainframe Retirement database process including data validation, ingestion, and report generation
- Executes weekly, or monthly Training Dashboard Database process including data validation, ingestion, and report generation
- Records detailed description of data validation and monthly process execution steps
- Tests data outputs, identifies, and troubleshoots anomalies in the data
- Owns SOP documentation and maintains versioning
- Perform project coordination duties in support of project and program manager
- Attends meetings and writes meeting minutes
- Documents problems and coordinates resolutions, with follow through
- Drafts and edits communications and presentations for leadership
- Manages project plans or creates schedules
- Manages shared mailbox communications
- Perform Quality Assurance duties in support of Learning & Development team
- Performs quality assurance reviews for corporate training videos
- Identify and fix errors with scripts, slides, audio recordings, and videos
- Help identify ways to improve product quality to meet the organization's quality standards
- Compile and analyze statistical data to identify areas for improvement
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Exhibits business knowledge and analytical skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access
- Ability to create pivot tables and V-look ups
- Ability to generate growth index and assess variations
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Good team member
- Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience
- Pursuing degree in Business Analytics, Project Management, Mathematics, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in the P&C insurance industry a plus.
