Position summary:
Provides software and network support, training and troubleshooting in a networked microcomputer environment. Provides support on a wide range of applications including Microsoft and Google Drive products.
Essential Tasks:
- Provide support to schools using remote assistance tools.
- Assist in managing network resources, including phones, printers, servers, switches, etc.
- Manage user accounts and access on the network and applications.
- Monitor and maintain work queue to ensure effective prioritization and completion of support requests within SLA
- Determine root-cause and provides expert solutions to resolve issues
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software used throughout the organization, both on-site and remote
- Participate on project teams as a member on a variety of company managed initiatives with vendors/contractors
- Provide input on processes and technology improvements
- Adhere to defined best practices and policies for installing, configuring and troubleshooting end user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Requires technical knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software and network support for multiple users.
- Must understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
- Requires experience with personal computer equipment and software
- Experience with current desktop versions of Microsoft Windows, specifically Windows 10 and some Windows 11
- Experience with Google Drive apps and Microsoft Office
- Experience with cloud based file management
- Experience with routers, firewalls, switches, Ubiquiti equipment a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange (both Local and Cloud-based implementations)
- Knowledge or experience with printer and phone systems a plus
- Exceptional and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently

- Associates degree in computer technology or equivalent work experience
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- IT certifications a plus
