Peraton is seeking an experienced IT Technical Managerto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Under the direction and guidance of the Program Manager, the Technical Manager serves as the focus for technology thought leadership within the O&M organization.
- Responsible for managing system evolution and refreshment needed to future-proof these solutions against obsolescence and to ensure that legacy technologies and services continue to satisfy and anticipate stakeholder needs.
- Ensures the continuity of system evolution decisions and processes, the Technical Manager will be responsible for maintaining all relevant documentation pertaining to the system architecture.
- Conducts on-going “As-Is” and “To-Be” analyses aimed at identifying an accommodating future demand for service, including the expansion and improvement of core solution technologies in the areas of biometrics, data recovery, service-oriented architectures, cloud native architectures, process and transaction management and dynamic rules engines.
- Responsible for conducting directed technical reviews and technology trade-off analyses, as required to ensure that the O&M program remains cognizant of improvements in key enabling technologies and methods.
- The Technical Manager is the most senior individual who works with the systems to ensure the continuity of system evolution decisions and processes.
- Responsible for maintaining all relevant documentation pertaining to the O&M architecture.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in STEM: Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering
- U.S. Citizenship required, Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- 12+ years of experience in a lead technical role for large scale information technology and database systems
- Experience with systems comprised of multiple technologies including C++, Java, SQL, Python, Ruby, Cucumber, and Splunk
- Experience parsing, data mining, and processing biometric and biographic information
- Must have extensive knowledge of IT operations and sysadmin roles, hands-on expertise in change management, configuration management, SEIM, SOC, and project management experience
- Must have in-depth Agile and DevSecOps knowledge/expertise with O&M components of SELC or equivalent lifecycle process
- AWS Solutions Architect Associates certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in DevOps pipeline technologies, including Git, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
- Preferred certifications: (Must be willing to obtain additional certificates required for the position within reasonable timetable): PMI Agile Certified Practitioner; DevOps foundations; Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
