Position Summary: This Tier 1 Systems Engineer role will be responsible to provide direct support to our clientele within various industries. Responsibilities will include maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnosing a range of issues from workstation to network levels. Successful hires will be a part of a talented team with superb technical competency supporting mission critical infrastructures and to provide enterprise class IT solutions and customer service. Essential Duties:

  • Participate in daily ticket workload supporting issues related to our client’s core business solutions, such as, WAN/LAN connectivity, printers, workstations, installations, Outlook/email issues, etc.
  • Setup laptop and desktop builds, application installation, encryption process, hardware & software troubleshooting
  • Utilizing the remote monitoring and management system: execute agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic client’s network reviews
  • System documentation upkeep for all client environments in TLG's Knowledge Base
  • Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, and monitor client workstation related hardware and software
  • Traveling to client sites will also be required as needed to resolve issues that cannot be resolved remotely and break/fix issues
  • A flexible schedule will be periodically required for on-call (after-hours) support rotation, client projects, maintenance windows, etc. that occur after hours and/or on weekends

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of IT support experience; MSP experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with WAN and LAN environments
  • Experience in deployment/troubleshooting of Windows environments
  • Experience in deployment/troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral equipment
  • Experience with Microsoft related technologies
  • Strong understanding in network protocols & secure connectivity (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
  • Knowledge with cabling and wireless networks a plus
  • Preferred experience in Hyper-V, vSphere, Citrix, SQL, and Terminal Services
  • Preferred experience in networking hardware (routers, firewalls, etc.)
  • Security products such as encryption, backup, and anti-virus experience
  • Excellent customer service, attention to detail, organizational, communication (written & verbal), and technical writing skills are required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Technical Skills Desired:

  • Familiarity working with large scale desktop and server management
  • Experience with systems/incident management tools
  • Cabling knowledge and experience
  • Strong analytical/technical skills and the ability to evaluate and utilize data in problem-solving and decision-making
  • Experience with ticketing and remote management & monitoring tools. Experience with Kaseya BMS a plus.

Certifications Desired:

  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+

Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Salary: Commensurate with experience ($40,000-$60,000 per year)

  • Supporting essential business may require on site visits. Direct client interaction requires masks to be used and hand sanitizing based on client requirements

Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days in office; 2 days work from home

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm EST
  • On call rotation

Education:

  • High School or equivalent; College Degree
