JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The successful candidate will have experience in IT, excellent customer service skills, great organizational skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing remote technical support via phone, email, chat and in person.
  • Follow customer service best practices during phone and email communications while following information security policies.
  • Evaluate and prioritize support while ensuring everyone involved is well informed.
  • Resolves problems/issues arising from a suite of software applications to multiple sets of networked desktop and laptop configurations and operating system versions.
  • Reimage, configures, installs, and supports desktop computers, laptop computers, printers, monitors, and other general peripherals to remote employees.
  • Safeguard computer data during all support transactions.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Assist in the support Microsoft 365, Azure and Active Directory products.
  • Installation of network equipment, including router, switches, and wireless access points under the supervision of the Lead Network Engineer.
  • Work with internal and external IT support teams.
  • Procure IT Equipment and maintain spares inventory. Create and maintain inventory of all IT equipment, software, and software licenses, End User Training Documents and Knowledge Based Articles.
  • Create, track and document small package shipments (laptops and peripherals).
  • Effective document support procedures.
  • Document support notes and progress in incident management system.
  • Adhere to established service level agreements (SLA).
  • Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
  • Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers.
  • Other Duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated initiative, self-reliance, and proactive approach required.
  • Some Knowledge of mobile devices and network technologies of LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, and TCP/IP.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, work independently, and experience knowledge base articles.
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to travel in support of remote sites, less than 10%
  • Good attention to detail and strong writing skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Two-year degree or equivalent experience
  • CompTIA A+

PREFERRED:

  • Industry recognized networking certification such as CompTIA Network +, and/or Security +
  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification

COMPETENCIES:

  • Windows Operating Systems
  • Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Microsoft 365 Defender for Endpoint
  • Windows AD User Group Management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 30lbs.
  • Extensive walking may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities.
