JOB TITLE:
IT Support Technician
REPORTS TO:
Network Administrator
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
To support the Network Administrator
KEY DUTIES:
· Helpdesk: respond to incoming calls and provide technical support over the phone and via screen-sharing software
· Troubleshooting: Critical thinking and analysis to find root causes and proposed solutions for issues with Windows workstations, printers, scanners, other peripherals, and various software products
· Onsite support: Sometimes there are issues that can't be solved remotely. The IT Support Technician will travel to Angel View locations to diagnose and troubleshoot in person as needed
· Deployment: Unboxing, preparation and deployment of hardware to end-users including Windows desktop computers and laptops, iPhones, iPads, Android tablets
· Installation of network hardware including firewalls, switches and wireless access points
· Routine computer maintenance and cable management
· Other duties as assigned: Assisting the Network Administrator to further Angel View's use of technology in pursuit of our mission to support adults and children with disabilities
REQUIREMENTS:
- Interest in technology and desire to learn
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
· Ability to multitask with multiple issues at a time.
· Attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend English language
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
2 years experience installing computers and printers in a network environment.
Experience with Windows computers.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Must be able to lift/push/pulling up to 50 lbs
Standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time
Ability to work in confined work spaces and climb ladders
May be required to climb stairs or ramps occasionally
Job Type: Full-time
