Job Description
We are seeking a Supervisor III to provide leadership support for IT and Information Management Services personnel in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing NASA TV segments, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world.

Job Site: NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC, this role is Hybrid. Must be able to work on site, 3 days of the week.
Responsibilities:
Supervises a Section of the contract with responsibility for the efficient performance of the section and proper application of NASA policy and regulations. Determines staffing requirements which includes interviewing, selecting, and training staff. Develop staff to maximize potential. Plan, assign and delegate staff assignments. Monitor staff work progress. Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency. Review performance schedules and activity reports to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels.
Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Develop, maintain, and adhere to schedules.
- Interface with and determine customer requirements and recommend solutions to meet said requirements.
- Analytically solve problems that may arise and determine preventative measures.
- Develop and follow processes, specifications, standards, and best practices from the contract, NASA and throughout the industry.
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Manage work content and budget.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lync, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supervising 15 or more people.
- Ability to effectively interface with multiple customers.
- Experience in a NASA environment.
Education and Relevant Work Experience:
- BA/BS +10 Years directly related experience.
