Job description

JOB PURPOSE:
University IT (UIT), part of the Business Affairs organization at Stanford University, is dedicated to delivering world-class service and technological solutions to advance research, teaching and learning, administration, and healthcare. UIT is embarking on a long-term strategy to plan, replace, and implement new cloud-based solutions for several enterprise-wide systems.
UIT seeks an experienced Integration Developer to support the technical implementation of the University's cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) software application suite as part of the Pinnacle program. Pinnacle includes replacement of the legacy HR, Payroll and Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) systems. The Sr. Integration Developer will be responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, and development of integration solutions for multiple clouds and on-premise applications that are part of the Pinnacle program.
Implementation of the new cloud-based HCM application is jointly sponsored by University HR and University IT.
CORE DUTIES:
  • Propose, conceptualize, design, implement, and orchestrate solutions from end to end integration independently.
  • Lead and manage integration flow development, as necessary, for application and data integration.
  • Supervise professional staff, as necessary, working on all phases of application development projects.
  • Collaborate with technical architects & leads, project managers, developers, business analysts, technical administrators, testers, and vendors.
  • Partner with business management to define the appropriate technical solutions.
  • Oversee the support, maintenance, operation, and upgrades of applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical integration problems.'
  • Monitor technology trends and evaluate emerging technologies for adoption and implementation.
  • Ensure work completion within schedule, budgetary, and design constraints; Conduct analysis, design, and testing; solve complex technical problems; provide alternative methods for achieving goals when necessary.
  • Identify and facilitate efficiency improvements in existing integration processes.
  • Create documentation, processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with university policy and federal and state regulations.
  • Lead projects, as necessary, for special systems and application development in areas of complex problems.
  • Work with other technical professionals to develop standards and implement best practices.
  • Mentor junior staff, as necessary, working on all phases of the application development lifecycle.
  • Other duties may also be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or related field and five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum 5 or more years of experience in implementing Oracle Cloud Applications: Enterpruse Resource Planning (ERP) or Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) or Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Proficiency in building web service integrations (Oracle REST APIs)
  • Proficiency in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
  • Expertise in technical and data analysis, including data conversion and data mapping for integration requirements.
  • Expertise in File Based Data Import (FBDI)
  • Experience in building custom applications using Oracle Application Express is desired.
  • Experience with one or more reporting tools like Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC), Oracle Transaction Business Intelligence (OTBI), Fusion Reporting Studio and Fusion Analytics Warehouse is preferred.
  • Certification on Fusion Cloud, OCI is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently sit, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
  • Occasionally stand/walk, use a telephone.
  • Rarely writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.

The expected pay range for this position is $144,000 - 150,000 per annum.
