Role Purpose Statement
The role of the IT Project Manager is to drive key initiatives within the LSG IT project portfolio. The PM will work in close coordination with the greater LSG IT team in in addition to third-party implementation partners and vendors to deliver assigned projects. The PM will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale projects, driving timelines, tracking issues and risks. The first project will be LSG’s migration to a new outsourced infrastructure provider.
Main Accountabilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects in accordance with the project timeline and budget;
- Define and manage project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders;
- Identify and manage deliverables and ensure stakeholders are engaged and responsive;
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring that project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards as outline in the implementation Statement of Work;
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, identifying potential problems and implementing solutions to mitigate them;
- Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management;
- Develop, manage and report on project financials;
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors;
- Collaborate and coordinate with Change Management Subject Matter Expert to
- Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date;
- Plan, manage, track and report on full system implementation lifecycle;
- Provide regular status reporting to support communication to sponsor, stakeholders, and executives
- Facilitate and document Lessons Learned for completed projects within the portfolio
- Assist in tracking costs and actuals associated with the Compliance Program
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- IT Project Management: 5 years (required)
- A minimum of 5-8 years of broad IT business experience in IT area management
- IT infrastructure general knowledge
- One or more professional certifications or equivalent experience (e.g. PMP, Agile, Change Management)
- Multi-disciplinary experience (Finance/Accounting, Product Development, IT, Software Development, ERP implementation/operations, Manufacturing)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
- Must be based in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area
