It Operations Student Assistant

Core Responsibilities

• Provide general tech support to ISU Foundation staff including but not limited to:
  • Installing new equipment (computers, monitors, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software computer issues
  • Answering telephone calls from staff related to hardware, software, and network operation.
• Assist IT Operations staff with technical projects and duties such as hardware and software inventory, datacenter maintenance, and managing equipment checkout.

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be currently enrolled at Iowa State, preferably an underclassman in computer science, MIS, or related degree program.
• Must be authorized to work off campus without additional approval.
• Working knowledge and experience with Windows 10 and MacOS.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
• Creativity, patience, a sense of humor and a belief in our organizational mission of: Aligning donor passion and generosity to advance Iowa State University’s land grant ideals.

This part-time student position pays $14 per hour at 6-12 hours per week. The ISU Foundation is a work-study eligible employer.
