Job Description
Independently manages and maintains compliance with a wide range of industry and regulatory standards, including aspects of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) as part of the broader responsibilities. Ensures that all data exchange, including EDI transactions, aligns with established standards, contributing to overall operational efficiency. Works closely with external auditors and internal teams to ensure adherence to applicable security protocols, regulations, and guidelines. This role also involves efficiently resolving audit-related issues and conducting research to develop and update standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring a comprehensive approach to compliance and data management.
IT Audit
- Serve as the primary liaison between auditors and the IT department, facilitating the audit process by providing necessary materials and information such as policies, procedures, security data, and statistical information.
- Analyze IT processes, systems, and programs to evaluate control effectiveness and mitigate departmental and compliance risks.
- Organize and manage audit-related documentation to ensure the achievement of significant control objectives during a pre-audit process.
- Maintain regular communication with supervisors throughout the audit, facilitating updates as needed.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date security measures for new hires, terminations, and transfers.
- Stay informed and updated in the field of IT audit and related areas by participating in relevant professional organizations, conferences, seminars, and meetings.
- Undertake special projects, reviews, and investigations as directed by IT management. • Adhere to audit standards when closing ITRs (Information Technology Requests).
Electronic Data Interchange
- Maintain Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) monitoring processes to ensure seamless data exchange with external partners.
- Continuously monitor EDI transactions, troubleshoot issues, and proactively address any disruptions in data flow to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
E-Commerce Systems Administration
- Serve as the main point of contact for inquiries and issues related to e-commerce.
- Resolve e-commerce issues independently or direct others to research and resolve them effectively.
- Administer support for D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) e-commerce management, collaborating with departments such as Finance, Marketing, A/R, Web Developers, Designers, and Copy Writers to support D2C sales and e-commerce development.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate e-commerce projects and initiatives.
Miscellaneous Department duties
- Create purchase orders and payment vouchers to ensure timely payment of vendor expenses. Reconcile statements for IT-related credit card purchases with the Finance Department.
- Prepare month-end reports.
- Create and maintain IBMi user profiles and grant internet options permissions.
- Update item master with approved product cost and attribute information.
- Provide backup support for 1WorldSync.
- Resolve and/or record Help Desk Issues.
Bachelor’s degree plus up to four years related experience in an IT environment.
Skills Required:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively with other departments daily. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. A high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail are essential. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of software.
