It Network Engineer

Gentis Solutions is currently recruiting an IT Network Engineer to operate in a hybrid setting for our client. With roots dating back to 1931, our client is a pioneering marketing research company on a global scale, offering insights and innovation to numerous top-tier corporations across various industries throughout the United States.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• A minimum of two years experience with technical support of hardware and software in a professional business environment
• Experience with installing and supporting a Cisco network environment
• Working hands-on experience in Solarwinds, Netflow and Network Analyzer preferred
• Working hands-on experience with Cisco Wireless, Cisco FirePower, Cisco ISE, and Cisco FTDs preferred
• Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the company and clients

Typical Duties

• As part of the Information Technology team, you''ll be tasked to install, configure, and maintain network firewalls, routers, switches, and related equipment
• Develop and maintain documentation of all network architecture and systems
• Investigate and resolve network-related issues
• Use monitoring tools to monitor network performance and proactively implement improvements
