Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to perform the duties associated with the proper operation of manufacturing equipment that supports the production of Caterpillar Diesel Engines. I.T. Manufacturing Support Technicians report to Section Managers and will be assigned to areas within the business to meet customer and company demands in Seguin, Texas.

Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to perform the duties associated with the proper operation of manufacturing equipment that supports the production of Caterpillar Diesel Engines. I.T. Manufacturing Support Technicians report to Section Managers and will be assigned to areas within the business to meet customer and company demands in Seguin, Texas.
What you will do:
- Primary responsibility is to keep manufacturing lines running
- Install, support, upgrade, replace, and remediate all IT hardware along manufacturing lines.
- Quickly respond to requests and incidents from our customers.
- Troubleshoot Hardware, Operating System, and software issues.
- Troubleshoot Network issues from the client up to the switch.
- Interface with the various manufacturing groups to understand issues.
- Interpret how to solve long term needs within the framework of IT MFG standards.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within a desktop support or system admin role.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on Windows machines.
- Experience troubleshooting printings, barcode scanners, handheld radios, digital signage.
- Experience troubleshooting basic client-side network (DHCP, DNS, Static IP) problems.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be available for weekends.
- Network hardware support experience a plus.
- Dev/Ops experience a plus.
- Associated topics: IP, maintain, maintenance, network, server, system engineer, system specialist, system technician

- Quickly respond to requests and incidents from our customers
- Hardware, Operating System, and software issues
- Troubleshoot Network issues from the client up to the switch and IDF
- Interface with the various manufacturing groups to understand issues

What you will have:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within a desktop support or system admin role

- Experience in production facilities assembly and material-handling equipment
- General understanding of Robotics technology and related systems where applicable
- Understanding of lockout / tag out procedures

- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
