About Her Justice
Her Justice is a nonprofit organization that stands with women living in poverty in New York City by recruiting and mentoring volunteer lawyers to provide free legal help to address individual and systemic legal barriers. Her Justice is looking to add a self-motivated individual to our team who will further our organization’s goal of connecting women living in poverty with volunteer lawyers in the areas of family, matrimonial, and immigration law and supporting the implementation of the organization’s policy strategic plan and the policy mission to reform the civil justice system such that it produces the most favorable outcomes for women like our clients, through processes that are as equitable, empowering, and as efficient as possible.
Role Overview
Her Justice, a dynamic and growing organization with over 35 employees, seeks an IT System Administrator. This role is not just about managing our technology infrastructure; it's about being a strategic partner in leveraging technology to enhance our operations and workflows. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the IT Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing our existing technology platforms and systems and driving forward our technological advancement, particularly in the legal field.
The starting salary range for this position is $79,000 to $90,000 annually. The IT Manager is expected to be in the office three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic IT Oversight and Management
Act as a strategic advisor on how technology can optimize our internal processes and workflows.
Manage day-to-day IT operations, including implementing an IT ticketing system, ensuring smooth and efficient technology use across the organization.
Lead the identification and implementation of technology improvement plans per the agency’s evolving needs.
Manage and cultivate relationships with IT vendors, assessing and determining the organization's external IT support needs.
Systems and Database Administration
Administer and oversee the organization’s key systems including RingCentral, LegalServer, Raiser’s Edge, and Microsoft 365.
Maintain SharePoint, including permissions structure, and lead post-migration projects.
Coordinate cross-departmental platform integration (e.g., website, online intake systems).
Equipment and Compliance Management
Oversee IT equipment management and provide support for maintenance and troubleshooting.
Maintain IT equipment in conference rooms and other public spaces in the office.
Develop and regularly update technology policies and protocols, ensuring they comply with legal standards and best practices in the field.
Ensure compliance with technology policies and protocols, coordinating with IT vendors as needed.
IT Training and Support
Develop and deliver training programs for staff on technology tools and best practices.
Provide HR support in onboarding and offboarding processes, focusing on IT orientation and equipment management.
