Position:
This position participates in the control oversight through the execution of information technology audits over application security, computer operations, IT infrastructure design and management, network security, application controls and system development controls projects. The role will be responsible for the execution of a holistic audit approach integrating information technology to evaluate Signet's internal control environment.
The IT Audit Co-Op is a self-started starter with attention to detail, drive to accomplish goals and focus on quality results. This person has strong communication skills, the ability to multitask and work with cross function teams.

• Participate in IT Audits and advisory projects, planning activities including gathering, reviewing and interpreting data, interviewing key stakeholders to establish scope of the audit and project procedures.
• Aid in performing audit testing procedures, including walkthroughs to assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls through various means - inspection, observation, and re-performance.
• Test controls including evaluation of completeness and accuracy of data and reports. Report audit findings including evaluation of key risks. Document processes including flowcharting of processes and controls.
• Develops an awareness of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
• Standards over performing Internal Audit work as well as retail industry trends and threats (internal/external).
• Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.
• Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.

• Currently enrolled and pursing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field
• Anticipated grad date of April 2024 - December 2025
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• Prior IT and/or business experience preferred but not required
• Prior coursework in IT, auditing or business technology preferred
• Ability to quickly grasp concepts, analyze data and draw conclusions based on sound judgement
• Ability to apply creative and innovating thinking and work autonomously

• Fulltime (40 hours/week) over Semester (10 - 16 weeks)
• Preference will be given to candidates who can work in a Hybrid environment within the Akron Support Center however remote will be considered.

• The salary range for this opportunity is $18.00-$19.50/hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
