Salaryprovide a hands-on opportunity and environment to learn the profession of Information Technology at the entry-level from the perspective of a Tier-One Automotive Supplier. We are seeking an IT co-op for the traditional year-round part-time work.
Perform entry-level service desk (aka help desk) functions including:
- Call answering/routing.
- Diagnose and resolve entry-level technical hardware and software issues.
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.
- Install new software on users' computers.
- Clean, modify, and repair computer hardware including monitors, keyboards, and printers.
- Follow standard service desk procedures.
- Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
- Work closely with other IT professionals.
- Redirect problems to an appropriate resource.
- Learn to become a liaison between IT professionals and end-user.
