Job Description
The Network Administrator ensures the stable operation of the Company networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
In this position, the Network Administrator will work with the IT Director to support end users, network infrastructure, and software systems, work on helpdesk tickets, and assist with various IT projects.
In addition, the person is responsible for managing, prioritizing, and coordinating network system projects; and must coordinate cross-division and with external technical experts to execute the projects. The person will also analyze and resolve end-user hardware and software computer problems promptly and accurately and provide end-user training where required.
Required Skills and Abilities
- 3-5 years of networking experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Microsoft Azure support, Cisco/Meraki experience.
- Operational knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization; Network and routing protocols; Windows Server and Azure Active Directory; Switch configuration and programming.
- Intermediate VMWare, Powershell, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle Database experiences.
- Ability and desire to work as a member of a team and as a team of one.
- Willingness to travel.
- Require to work on weekends, flexibility to work on early morning or late night shift.
Job Duties
- Plan and monitor the whole company network and server structure, enhance cyber security protection.
- Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware.
- Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.
- Updating virus protection software to keep and communications protected.
- Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.
- Communication networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users.
- Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the system.
