Position Summary:
The IT Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in deployments, new location build-outs, day-to-day security maintenance, and works closely with our IT Infrastructure Manager and the existing IT team to ensure the stable operation of the computer networks, servers, security, and all underlying software and devices.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Windows Server Updates Services Administration
Linux (Ubuntu) systems management
Volume Activation Management
Network Monitoring for all locations
SQL Backup and testing
Assist with the installation and configuration of network equipment
Basic Javascript development and testing
Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Strong background in general Windows domain use and practices
Windows Server & systems administration
Working knowledge of computer networking
(TCP/IP, DHCP, FTP, IPSEC, L2TP, VPN, DNS, Wireless)Basic programming skills primarily in Javascript, PHP, & .Net
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

QualificationsMINIMUM Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
5+ Years of Windows (7/10/11) systems administration
Valid NYS Driver’s License in good condition as determined by the Agency
Must complete and pass a pre-employment physical, PPD and drug screen.
PREFERRED Qualifications:
5+ Years of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 administration
BA/BS Degree
Advanced certification
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time
Constantly operate a computer and other office equipment
Able to safely operate an agency vehicle in accordance with NYS motor vehicle laws
Able to lift and maneuver IT Equipment - Printers, Switches, Rack-Mount UPS, etc.
Able to work on floors, in crawl spaces, and under desks as well as work safely and securely on ladders and elevated areas.
