Job Description :
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide project accounting processes, ultimately supporting the CIS Programs, to ensure accurate and timely accounting results.
Play a key role in supporting the accurate and timely monthly project accounting financial close.
Monitor project accounting results to ensure alignment to established financial controls.
Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of project accounting processes.
Assist in the annual budget planning process, including project managing key milestones, coordinating required deliverables within the Technology programs and FP&A.
Monitor key indicators to identify and highlight areas of possible concerns, including collaborating with project managers.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting package.
Analyze project capitalization to ensure that project actuals and forecasted time are being recorded accurately.
Help develop and execute training programs to ensure new Project Managers understand the project accounting close, financial components, and how to accurately forecast project costs.
Manage, track, and report details related to cost saving initiatives.
Prepare ad hoc reporting and analyses as needed and assist teams with research on project accounting questions.
Contribute to the continuous development and maintenance of the Project and Portfolio Management system.
Take on and lead special projects as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance or related.
3-5 years of accounting and financial forecasting experience (IT environment a plus).
Good knowledge of finance, accounting, and control principles, including U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience with Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) systems (e.g., Planview, HP PPM, etc.), data analytics, and prior experience driving adoption and improvements.
Experience with financial reporting for a technology organization.
Skilled with Excel using formulas and pivot tables and creating management presentations in PowerPoint.
Oracle Financials experience preferred but will consider other ERP systems.

Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
