It Field Technician

This position is on-site at our office in north Phoenix. Our IT Technicians are responsible for customer servers, desktops/ laptops, network, phone systems support, and maintenance as well as other IT-related applications and hardware and will also help with CAT 5/6 and fiber network cable installation. You will troubleshoot hardware and software as the customer's IT resource; work on-site at customer locations and in varying custom environments; Work with virtual environments (VMs, virtual desktops, etc.) and more.

Position responsibilities:

• Provide support to office personnel -- internal and external -- for all hardware and software related issues (desktop support, monitors, printers, laptops, etc.)
• Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair all equipment-related issues
• Install, maintain, and update operating systems and applications on all servers and workstations
• Conduct server builds as needed
• Manage users on domain, email, and phone systems
• Manage user access to servers, folders, and files
• Make recommendations for new hardware and software as related to on-site requirements
• Ensure network availability by monitoring servers, switches, routers, and firewalls
• Prepare new computers per company image specifications along with employee-specific permissions
• Manage employee access in support of customer requirements
• Installation, organization and termination of CAT6 network cable.
• Wireless Access Point (WAP) Installation
• IT Closet Builds (MDF, IDF, Data rack, ladder rack, cable tray, sleeve installation)
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols (Proper PPE, clean up job site, OSHA)
• Other tasks and assignments at the direction of management

Skills/Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Microsoft 365 and Azure support experience
• Cloud phone system support
• RMM management
• VPN and remote user setup
• WiFi, Network, firewall, DNS configuration/troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6
• Knowledge of IIS (6.0 and higher) and DNS (Microsoft DNS and/or Bind) a plus
• Prior technical phone and email support experience
• Knowledge of mail servers (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, iMail, hMail, etc.)
• General knowledge of switches, routers, and firewalls
• Strong Windows server administration knowledge, including an understanding of Active Directory
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Must possess excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Network troubleshooting
• Ability to install and terminate CAT network cable and Wireless Access Points
