It Support Technician Level 1

Job Summary

B&F Contracting is seeking an IT Support Technician Level 1 to join our team and provide technical assistance to our internal users. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for technology. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing timely support to end-users.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
• Assist users with account setup, password resets, and access permissions.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Document support activities, including issue details, troubleshooting steps, and solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates and system backups.
• Assist in the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
• Provide basic training to users on IT systems and applications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding IT security and data privacy.
• Responsibility of keeping inventory and keep technology organized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or iOS operating systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional support.
• Basic understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
• Experience with ticketing systems or helpdesk software is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
