What You'll Work on
The IT Business Systems Analyst is part of the Information Technology Team and works with key individuals and internal IT staff to support both new and existing systems and applications. Responsibilities include the gathering and analysis of business requirements and developing IT systems and solutions to fulfill those requirements. This individual may recommend commercially available software, configure existing software solutions, or recommend custom application development to fulfill user requirements.
You’ll Support Your Team By Performing the Following Key Tasks
Take ownership of assigned systems and applications including analysis, design, testing, documentation, and ongoing maintenance and support.
Develop reports and queries from company database systems and assists in the analysis of that data.
Assist in problem resolution and develops solutions for improved operating procedures, alternate processing methods, communications, information flow, and management reporting.
Provide support and training to internal and international group company users
Responsible for planning and organizing the maintenance and implementation of assigned IT systems
Gather and documents requirements related to business needs
Analyze business requirements in the context of the current IT ecosystem and existing processes and procedures and determines possible solutions
Work with stakeholders and IT staff to select the best solutions to meet those business needs within the current business context Implements solutions to business needs by configuring existing IT systems or working with other members of the IT department.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
Experience with and knowledge of relational SQL database systems including theory, design, best practices, and associated tools and technologies for managing those systems.
Practical knowledge and experience with reporting and Business Intelligence tools such as SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, etc.
Practical knowledge and experience in development practices and programming languages such as Python, PHP, C++, C#, or similar scripting languages.
Work effectively alone or with a variety of other positions, including managers, IT staff, subject matter experts, designers, end users, and other stakeholders
Ability to develop solutions from concept to production and ongoing maintenance and support.
Ability to critically evaluate business needs and provide useful, actionable feedback
Provide high level of customer service to end users
Proficient in oral and written communications skills
Organized, detail focused, task oriented, and service minded
Collaborative solutions and application of best practices
Experience with Microsoft enterprise applications including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Office 365, etc. with the ability to configure and work within these frameworks, preferred.
Work Environment
General office environment with assigned workstations, computer, and other hardware peripherals. Casual dress allowed. High interaction with systems users throughout the company.
Physical Requirements
Able to work 40+ hours per week as the normal workweek. Work as needed on weekends and holidays. Stand and sit for extended periods during working hours. High use of PC and other computer-related hardware, software, and peripherals.
