Overview:

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team supporting a project for the State of Washington Department of Transportation. In this role you will serve as an expert IT Business Analyst working on the IT Service Management / REMEDY Modernization project. You be responsible for delivering the appropriate functional and technical design documentation for the project to allow all project work to be completed.

Duties:

In this role you will utilize the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) methodology to:

• Develop process and workflow models of business processes;
• Develop conceptual and logical data models;
• Develop business rules models;
• Perform scope management;
• Define functional interaction requirements specifications;
• Define non-functional requirements specifications
• Perform requirements management; and
• Develop business requirements using techniques such as:

i. Process mapping

ii. Workflow modeling

iii. Conceptual and logical data modeling

iv. Business rules modeling

v. Use case modeling

vi. Scope management

vii. Requirements management

Required must have skills:

• Minimum of 8 years experience as an IT Business Analyst, performing IT business requirements elicitation, business process analysis and data analysis in the implementation and integration of enterprise-scale, software application, implementation, or integration projects.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the creation and maintenance of International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) framework deliverables.
• Minimum of 8 years experience that includes process mapping, workflow modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, business rules modeling, use case modeling, scope management, and requirements elicitation and management.
• Minimum 8 years of experience that includes supporting application development, data base administration, or data modeling, in activities such as the design, development, testing, and implementation of a wide variety of information technology systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of requirements elicitation and interview techniques with a wide range of audiences including from front line workers to executive staff.
• Demonstrated understanding of requirements management techniques such as traceability matrices.
• Prior experience using requirements management software such as SPARX Enterprise Architect or Jama.

Preferred Skills:

• Current International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Certification or a current certification as a Project Management Institute - Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA).
• Experience in implementing Cloud-hosted business process migration in Software as a Service (SaaS) implementations utilizing Google, Amazon, or Microsoft cloud hosting technologies.
• Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Experience in the creation of business requirements for Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitations.
