JOB MISSION:

The AV Project Engineer will play a leading role in setting up, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining meeting experiences and AV equipment throughout the New Balance environment. Project Engineer will design and implement video walls, digital signage operations, room schedulers, overhead paging, MS Team Room Systems, Surface Hubs, and other MS devices utilizing management tools such as Teams Admin Center, MS Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal, TeamViewer, Extron PCS, Global Viewer, Toolbelt, DSP Configurator, Tesira, Dante Controller and other AV tools.

The ability to travel up to 20% will be required.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Design and implement AV, MS Teams, and media technology solutions, upgrades, and changes across the New Balance facilities.
  • Conduct related technical analysis & planning for deployment of evolving AV solutions.
  • Interface with various stakeholders regarding projects and requirements for new tech & services.
  • Prepare technical solution designs and proposals, applying existing standards to meet business requirements.
  • Produce project budgets, Implementation Plans, technical drawings, project management artifacts, and operational handoffs as necessary.
  • Build and communicate a well-organized project implementation plan.
  • Provide light Project Management support for activities around new facilities, adds, removes and changes.
  • Coordinate and manage the implementation and commissioning activities of vendors, engineers, and other stakeholders. Sometimes conduct hands-on commissioning of new systems.
  • Provide Tier 3 support, which involves advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and integration activities upon escalation.
  • Serve as Tier 3 AV/IT technical expert and escalation resource for live events (including virtual, hybrid, and in person meetings), system diagnostics and proactive room checks.
  • Create necessary system documentation/feedback/training for new and existing AV systems. Manage system upgrades and circulate new and revised training documents.
  • Operate as member of larger IT Service Delivery team and work on cross-functional initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification required. Other relevant AV industry certifications and training preferred (Extron, Biamp, Crestron, Avixa, etc.).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard hardware and software components and peripherals as well as proficiency in Microsoft, iOS, and Android OS platforms. Including MS Teams Rooms Systems, MS Surface Hubs, Paging systems, Live Events/Webinars, Digital Signage hardware & CMS, video distribution, audio DSPs and AV control systems.
  • Solid knowledge of audio-visual connectivity and signal flow; experience reading wiring diagrams and interpreting system design drawings.
  • Experience troubleshooting and working with DSPs, Dante, and other audio solutions.
  • Knowledge of AVoIP, virtual control of AV systems, and AV networking strongly preferred.
  • Networking protocols and terminology are highly desirable.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse work force across the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written). High level of organization.
  • Familiarity with project budgets, Resource planning awareness.
  • Strong planner, tying strategy and architecture concepts to new project requirements.
  • Thinks globally and seeks to leverage existing standards.
  • Ability to lift, bend, twist, and be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders if necessary.

Flexible Work Schedule
