At MONTEFIORE IT our Server Architecture team is seeking an experienced and skilled  IT Architect to join our dynamic team . 

The  IT Architect will develop migrations strategies from on-premises databases to cloud technologies, lead in designing, implementing, and managing our envirvonment to the cloud.   The IT Architect will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our cloud strategy, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud resources. Your expertise in migrating to the cloud environment is a critical experience.  VMware, Windows, VDI, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, Powershell scripting, and preferred experience in migrating to Azure / AWS will be instrumental in driving innovation and efficiency within our IT landscape.

The IT Architect will implement comprehensive solutions at the Enterprise level.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive hybrid cloud strategy that aligns with business goals and IT requirements.
• Design solutions for seamless integration and data exchange between on-premises infrastructure and various cloud platforms, including Azure or AWS.
• Identify opportunities for workload optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement within the hybrid cloud environment.
• Architect, configure, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure components, including VMware, Nutanix, and Cisco UCS systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy virtualized desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions, ensuring efficient resource utilization and optimal end-user experiences.
• Lead the setup of network connectivity, security protocols, and data replication strategies between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Develop and enforce security best practices, policies, and procedures across the hybrid cloud environment, including Azure or AWS environments.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement robust authentication, access control, encryption, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data protection and privacy.
• Utilize Powershell scripting and other automation tools to streamline deployment, management, and monitoring of cloud resources.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles to ensure consistent and repeatable environment provisioning.
• Continuously optimize operational tasks through automation to enhance efficiency and reduce human error.
• Monitor the performance of hybrid cloud infrastructure and promptly address any issues or bottlenecks.
• Analyze system metrics, logs, and alerts to identify trends, anticipate problems, and implement proactive solutions.

Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems across the hybrid environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Create comprehensive documentation for architecture, configurations, processes, and best practices.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities to foster the professional development of team members.

 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience as an IT Architect with proven experience in migrating to Cloud Architecture or similar role in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Strong expertise in VMware, Windows Server, VDI solutions, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, and Powershell / Python scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS cloud services and solutions.
• In-depth understanding of cloud computing concepts, architecture, and services (public and private clouds).
• Knowledge of networking principles, security protocols, and best practices for cloud environments.
• Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure certifications are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor's in Computer Science , IT, or Related work experience
