Job Summary
SAVA is looking to fill critical Information Technology based positions for our customer with the United States Army at the Operational Test Command (OTC) located in Fort Hood, TX. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: outstanding customer service, expertise/knowledge in the required field, dedication to the mission and strong work ethic.
SAVA is in search of a dedicated IT professional to join our family as an IT Analyst II (OTC) on our ATEC IT Support team.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop, coordinate and assist in the installation, configuration, utilization, and operation of IT equipment.
Assist in the review of functional user justifications and requirements for new or additional IT capabilities in either hardware or software solutions.
Provide technical assistance to customers to minimize disruptions of computer.
Deploy IT hardware such as, but not limited to desktop computers, laptops, tablets, monitors and printers.
Assist in the completion of special projects such as operating system upgrades, life cycle replacements, mass deployments of IT hardware, etc.
Identify hardware failures and ensure that repairs are accomplished when under vendor warranty.
Maintain, update and resolve tickets in government ticketing system.
Support end-to-end, enterprise-level monitoring, management, administration, performance optimization, and maintenance for all IT services, devices, applications, and infrastructure, to rapidly move, store, and retrieve data from a wide variety of sources and locations in a highly reliable and secure manner.
Utilize Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices for IT Service Management (ITSM) that focuses on solutions that have an integrated, enterprise-wide focus to deliver shared IT services that align ATEC IT computing environment with the needs of its customers and end users.
- Provide performance optimization and remediate degradation, performance analysis, baseline, monitoring, alerting, root cause analysis and remediation, and continuous improvement proposals.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 2 to 4 years of experience.
DOD 8570 IAT Level I or II certification required.
Experience and technical knowledge of installing, configuring, repairing and maintaining software, hardware, configurations, and peripherals.
Ability to isolate equipment/system/software malfunctions and restore failed equipment to good working order.
Experience conducting operational checks and replacing defective parts and assemblies.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as cable making/repair, IP address schema, and LAN implementation and configuration.
Active DoD Secret clearance.
