OMNIVISION is looking for Patent & Trademark analysis engineer to handle intellectual property protection related tasks such as: Patent & Trademark tasks record analysis, Patent & Trademark annuity analysis, Patent & Trademark prosecution expense analysis, and proof of use evidence collection for trademarks etc.
Responsibilities:
- Be familiar with IP docketing system and annuity payment system and run reports, analyze reports to facilitate expense saving and improve patent and trademark prosecution efficiency. Present analysis reports and findings to IP team members.
- Conducts aged issued patent analysis and their possible applications to image sensor products etc.
- Conducts Patent & Trademark prosecution expenses analysis and identify areas for possible improvement either at inside IP team, or at outside (US and non US) Patent & Trademark law firms.
- Works with outside (US and non US) Patent & Trademark law firms, lead company internal coordination effort to provide "proof of use" evidence of company trademarks.
- Performs patent award data analysis, analyzes and benchmarks industry's award to improve invention disclosures from various engineering functions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor, engineering or science related fields preferable, but not required.
- Proficient in using Microsoft tools: Excel, PowerPoint etc. A must requirement.
- Be able to work with and communicate easily in oral and written communication to engineering team members in Device/Process or Design Engineering.
- Some work experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred but not required.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $90,600 - $140,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
