- Description
- Position reports to a Lead Engineer and interfaces with both a Project Engineer and Project Manager. A Server Software Engineer is responsible for most digital-twin software development tasks for new commercial building onboarding including: Software specification review, equipment data modeling, advanced energy analysis, quality control and machine-learning implementation.
- Expectations
- Coordinate with Lead Engineer on commercial building onboarding tasks
- Coordinate with Client Software Engineer on device specifications
- Implementation of machine-learning algorithms for control
- Equipment energy analysis and review
- Digital-twin deployment and quality control
- Skills Learned
- Active participation in strategic virtual building engineering onboarding process
- Energy design & analysis
- Discovery of advanced HVAC operational theories
- Machine-learning overview and implementation theories
- Tridium Niagara development
- Qualifications
- +3 years experience technical background in Building Automation field
- Experienced in HVAC equipment Sequence of Operation (SOO)
- Working knowledge of HVAC equipment design
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Knowledge of Tridium Niagara
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Additional Qualifications
- Working knowledge of HVAC energy efficiency measures
- Basic knowledge in machine-learning modeling
- Bachelors Degree Mechanical Engineering preferred
