JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for inventory control including cycle counts, reconciliation and quality assessment, supervision and scheduling of department personnel, developing and implementing inventory policies and controls, data analysis and reporting, and special projects as assigned by manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages inventory & quality control in a safe and organized manner
  • Conducts physical inventories, location identification and storage, and stock quality checks
  • Manages database and reconciles damaged or missing items and stock discrepancies
  • Supervises and schedules department personnel in conjunction with Inventory Manager
  • Identifies & reviews employee issues and inventory process issues with Inventory Manager
  • Participates in process development, storage and handling analysis and efficiency improvement plans
  • Maintains close communication with Warehouse, Production, Sales and Inventory team
  • Assists Inventory Manager with product lifecycle analysis and stock planning
  • Trains staff in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as provides feedback as needed
  • Takes lead on identifying, communicating and providing solutions for issues with products
  • Assists with vendor identification and communication
  • Purchases material handling and department supplies as needed
  • Generates reports and performs data entry for management as needed
  • Continuously seeks ways to improve efficiency, quality & cost control
  • Maintains highest standard of customer service & exemplary compliance with all standard operating procedures.
  • The employee must be able to drive 16’ and 24’ truck
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GED or High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years in inventory or warehouse operations. Event production company experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable about stock and has ability to assess quality standards
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends and travel between facilities as required
  • Ability to train and coach staff on a regular basis
  • Ability to provide written reports and feedback to ownership
  • Ability to comprehend and effectively manage labor cost control
  • Proficient computer and database skills
  • Organized, detail oriented and team driven
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to constant change
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English. Ability to speak Spanish a plus
  • The employee must be able to drive 16’ and 24’ truck
  • Valid driver’s license with clear driving record

  • Employee must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to heavy
  • The temperature will vary from hot to cold depending on the weather.
