Inventory Specialist

Job Summary:

The Inventory Specialist performs all duties necessary on assigned tasks while achieving and sustaining the safety, performance, and quality expectations set by Management. This position regularly partners with our front counter sales and warehouse personnel to provide top-quality service to our customers, or as we like to call them “Partners in Profit”.

Supervisory Responsibilities:Duties/Responsibilities:

• Handle inventory cycle counts, product management, and any inventory request or issue
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner
• Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing merchandise and equipment within the warehouse
• Load and unload trucks, breakdown, sort, and restack product, lifting items as necessary occasionally operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods.
• Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
• Pull orders using RF scanners, ensuring the orders are correct, and load the trucks before the cutoff time
• Perform daily housekeeping – Sweeping – Cleaning – Dusting

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Forklift experience is a plus
• Knowledge of HVAC products is a plus

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-year of experience in a warehouse environment

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Having a good sense of balance
• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination

Work Environment

This job operates in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment. These conditions can vary between hot and cold extremes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving machinery and regular use of ladders is required to complete assigned work.
