Qualifications for Position:

• Ability to manage receiving processes for inventory in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
• Southeast US plant identification highly preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a related position or field highly preferred.
• Familiar with Florida grades / standards for determining quality of trees and shrubs is highly preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize/organize in a time sensitive manner with strong attention to detail.
• Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
• Team player mindset required.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Position requires work duties to be performed both outdoors in plant nursery (90%) and in office (10%).
• Assist management with organization, labeling, tagging and inventory control processes.
• Inventory reporting.
• Reconciling information gathered and sent, inputting and checking that it collaborates with information inputted into inventory system.
• Physically counting plants, shrubs, and tree materials.
• Assist in preparing purchase orders for plant and tree material for stock, and special orders from customers.
• Assist in reviewing prices and material specifications from vendors and suppliers to ensure the best quality and price points.
• Help to maintain purchasing files and pricing lists.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory cycle counts.
• Provide support to our sales, inventory, and nursery teams as needed.
• Additionally: This position includes hours spent outdoors in a plant nursery environment walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and some light lifting.

Bonus Skills Preferred:

• Southeast US plant identification highly preferred.
• Commercial plant nursery and/or landscaping industry experience highly preferred.
• Ability to be innovative and be resourceful to accomplish goals.
• Language: Applicants bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply.

Job Type:

• Full-time, M-F, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m

Compensation:

• $16.00 - $19.00 / Hour (Starting Range)
