Scope
Works to optimize supplier relationships by monitoring team dynamics and recommending appropriate interventions to improve team functionality. Trains suppliers in procedures for compliance and document review. Partners with 3rd party providers, subcontractors, and consultants to achieve results for the supplier.
Major Responsibilities:
- Leads cross-functional efforts, in collaboration with Merchants, Operations, Inventory Management, and IT to drive Supplier EDI enablement, monitor performance and resolve issues.
- Works on EDI application with suppliers and trading partners, defining mapping requirements and managing multiple interconnect requests such as van and AS2.
- Be pro-active in maintaining a smooth flow of EDI mission critical by monitoring daily EDI messages, troubleshooting, problem solving, managing acknowledgements and providing user support.
- Reviews all incoming data to ensure accuracy within the Business System (ASN accuracy – including cost, quantity and UCC128 standards) and assigns scorecard metrics.
- Manage activities relative to collaboration with suppliers; communicates expectations and compliance requirements included in the supplier scorecard.
- Works with outside EDI trading partners, the Company’s application outside support partner, third party value- added networks as well as in-house associates to ensure quality EDI transmissions for suppliers.
- Creates and implements periodic review and maintenance of Standard Operating Supplier Procedures, Templates and Guidelines.
- Obtains feedback from key stakeholders to determine if Suppliers are meeting performance obligations and expectations.
- Proactively identifies emerging and/or systemic issues that impact multiple organizational functions; facilitates discussions with supplier and awareness to operational teams for a quick fix until issues have a permanent resolution.
- Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive strong, competitive Supplier Relationships.
- Responsible for Supplier Development and continuous improvement of Inbound Receiving and Return Processing.
- Responsible for analyzing, reporting data, utilizing Hyperion, and other tools for analysis and visualization, in order to support supplier success from EDI testing to complete UCC128 certification.
- Facilitates discussions between IT and Suppliers to ensure they understand and are kept current of key EDI strategies and initiatives.
- Acts as a resource and escalation point for operating units and suppliers to clarify processes or resolve problems.
- Holds periodic operational performance reviews with key suppliers to review performance, establish corrective action plans, and ensure implementation of those action plans as described in the supplier scorecard in regards to ASN and UCC128 requirements.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Experience with EDI connectivity
- Knowledge and experience in compliance principles, as well as SOP/process development and implementation.
- Organizational ability to orchestrate multiple activities consecutively.
- Strong aptitude to learn new software and complex technical concepts.
- Written and oral communication skills that reflect logical thinking and are accurate, concise, persuasive and customer-service oriented.
- Ability to gather, analyze and organize complex data.
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Basic competency in project management software, including Microsoft Project.
- Basic competency in process documentation software, including Visio.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Minimum 1 year related experience
- Planning and decision making skills required.
- Experience managing EDI related projects and working in a team environment.
- People/project management experience required.
